Greatest experience I've ever had treating my cat. He's a male orange tabby and is prone to UTI's, when I go to those clinics at the pet stores I'm seen for less than 5 min, charged $300, and the UTI's always come right back. Healing Hearts took the time to do a full urinalysis, which included a Cytology, this means they checked to see what kind of bacteria was causing the infections and didn't just throw the first anti-biotic in line at it. They had a hard time getting the urine (He had pee'd in the carrier on the way there) but they said it happens all the time and they let me drop him off for a few hours while they gave him fluids to fill him up again. By the time I got back, they had found not only bacteria, but some kind of crystal. They gave him some pain killers, the right level of anti-biotic, and changed his diet. It's been 5 months with no repeat. I would rather have 1 hour and a half long visit, than 3 useless ones any day. That is time well spent.
We started taking our dog to Healing Hearts, right after we got him, a couple of months ago. We have been very impressed with Dr. Huston and her staff. They have referred us to other clinics that have had less invasive techniques, if they felt that would be safer for my dog. After our puppy got sick, and we had to have him hospitalized, Dr. Huston called me, herself, several times to follow up with us and see how he was doing. Their prices are also very reasonable. Only $35 for a wellness check up. I would definitely recommend Healing Hearts.
