Meet the Staff ~

Dr Kelly Huston, DVM

Dr Huston attended Iowa State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree as well as her Doctorate in Veterinary medicine.  She began her practice in Scottsdale, Arizona.  She later moved to Salt Lake City.

Dr. Huston joins Healing Hearts with over 20 years of experience in surgery and internal medicine.

She has 2 teenage children.  Her daughter, Kelsey is 19 and in college.  Her son Tyler is 17 and a senior in high school.  Her four footed family includes a yellow lab, Strohs, and a Jack Russell mix bundle of energy named Theo.

When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Huston enjoys the abundant outdoor recreation available in Utah.

Jolene, Vet Tech

Jolene adores animals of all shapes and sizes.  She's always rescuing and caring for any and all animals that come across her path.

She gives the extra measure of comfort to the animals coming into the clinic no matter the reason.  Many members of her family are also involved in caring for animals so she passed the legacy down.  She has been a key part of Healing Hearts since it opened. Rest assured your pet is in good hands with Jolene!

Devin Daines, Office Manager & Vet Tech

Devin comes from a family caring for animal companions. His father is a local vet so he grew up in the business.  He claims he is the "indentured servant" at Healing Hearts.  Really he does a little bit of everything from helping with surgeries, caring for any and every animal and running the office.

Maurveen, Vet Tech

Maurveen is another long-time animal lover.  She has her own family of dogs, cats, turtles and two children ages 14 and 15.  She is also raising her 8 year old grandson. She has 4 other grandchildren to spoil as well.

She has worked at several veterinarian office including Brookside and All About pets.  She has also been a groomer at Petco. Needless to say she’s a wonderful asset to our team.

Susan, General Office Support

Susan started rescuing animals at age 3.  Her first rescue was a stray puppy she convinced her father to take in because she said, "Jesus sent him."  Now how could any dad turn down his daughter with that reasoning?!

She owns two dogs and several cats and takes care of all of the adoptable cats in the hospital.  She says her purpose in life is caring for and saving animals.  And she’s darn good at it!
